Feeding Centers

The HIV/AIDS pandemic has left over one million children orphaned in Malawi (approximately 8% of the entire population).

This has not only affected the children; it has also depleted approximately 60% of the workforce in this agricultural society. As a result, there are major food shortages and few providers for families.

Presently, the Epicenter Solutions program is impacting up to ten villages at a time through our feeding centers. In October 2006, we opened our first center in Bangula, Malawi.  Then, in 2008, we opened two new facilities in Mozambique and another one in Malawi.   We care for orphans, the elderly, and severely malnourished people. We currently have over 180 people enrolled in Bangula who are receiving two meals per day.   Without our help, they would receive very little, if any, food.

Become a sponsor.  Although we now run five feeding centers in Malawi and Mozambique, the need to open more is great. You can help by sponsoring an orphan or widow; in Malawi or Mozambique. For less than $1 a day ($25.00 a month), you can help sponsor an orphan or widow in Malawi/Mozambique and provide basic needs at one of our feeding centers, with 100% of the donated money going to feed them.

We provide two meals per day, education, vocational training, and recreational activities for orphans and the aged.  Our centers accommodate over 350 people daily, while providing a safe haven and an opportunity for a better life for the people we serve.
